The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Clerk at the Visitor Control Center to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.

This position is within the Security Department at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Kekaha, HI.  Reports to the Security Chief.  Under limited supervision, performs a variety of multilevel clerical tasks associated with base access for government, public, and foreign national personnel visiting PMRF.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generates Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) pass issuance for visitors, contractors, and employees that may include various points of entry on the installation.
• Documents and maintains all records of pass issuance in electronic format (Microsoft Access & Excel).
• Interacts with PMRF visitors (to include foreign nationals), VIPs, and vendors on a continual basis.  Serves as a de facto representative of the Base Commander.
• Activates Veterans Administration Health ID Cards, once approved.
• Performs NCIC background checks on incoming contractors, visitors, new hires, and select veterans.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
• Office conditions are varied and includes physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling up to 10 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, crawling, kneeling, or cramped working places and work requiring repeated or frequent climbing. Environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, an office laboratory environment. Fast-paced administrative working environment. 

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School or equivalent.
• Two (2) year degree or certificate in related field is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Four (4) years of general office experience.
• Must have the basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting.  Must be proficient in operating a calculator, personal computer, computer software, and standard office equipment.
• Must have strong people and communication skills.
• Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.
• Must be able to multi-task under stressful conditions.
• Must possess the following PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Access

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Secret Clearance required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
