Network Control Center Supervisor supervises network control technicians in the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Oversees routine testing, configuration changes, or network hardware or software upgrades. Being a Network Control Center Supervisor ensures network traffic and performance monitoring processes are running to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Responds to incidents using standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Supervisor coordinates with vendors and service providers to ensure required service and quality levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Key job responsibilities
    - Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
    - Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
    - Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction
    - Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally
    - Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
    - Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
    - Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
    - Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 40 lbs
    - Availability to work in an environment that operates 24/7

    Amazon is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

    The position's responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations and day to day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.

    You will leverage your experience supporting large scale, enterprise class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting. As a Network Deploy Technician, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. In addition to providing management and support of AWS’ vast network infrastructure, Network Deploy Technicians establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Technical Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network , CCNA)
    - 2 years in data center or critical environment
    - 2 years of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, and OTDR etc.)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
    - Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc)
    - Experience with ethernet and IP networking
    - Experience in large scale data center network implementations and support
    - Experience working in virtualized enterprise networking environments
    - Experience working with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE)
    - Familiarity with common networking terms and fabric-based network design
    - Experience with enterprise level infrastructure technologies (Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls etc.)
