Network Control Center Supervisor supervises network control technicians in the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Oversees routine testing, configuration changes, or network hardware or software upgrades. Being a Network Control Center Supervisor ensures network traffic and performance monitoring processes are running to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Responds to incidents using standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Supervisor coordinates with vendors and service providers to ensure required service and quality levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Control Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Summary
    Supervises the mechanical maintenance staff in providing maintenance support of waste processing, storage, and disposal to support plant activities by performing the following duties. The Heavy Equipment/Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is a lead member of the maintenance department and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may receive occupational exposures to ionizing radiation that are As Low As is Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and within regulatory limits.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

    • Directly supervises the mechanical maintenance staff with daily work, PM schedules an emergent work orders. Provides mentoring and development for all direct reports. This position will be required to provide on-hands maintenance support, as needed.
    • Takes assigned work for the mechanical maintenance department and obtains quotes, estimates and materials within plans and specifications. Inputs all materials use in the CMMS program, close all related workorders and ensures personnel have properly and adequately enters descriptions of the work performed.
    • Inspects and checks materials and other factors assuring conformity to plans and specifications.
    • Maintains a detailed account of all work performed by the department with site tools for audit purposes.
    • Assures that site is adequately staffed to meet workload by coordinating with work control and PTO schedule.
    • Coordinates with all avenues including staff, operations, management and engineering in the decision process.
    • Maintains inventory and generates purchase requests for the department
    • Performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for routine operations.
    • Apply and reinforce the skills learned through human performance training to prevent personal errors and errors by other team members.
    • Performs other related work activities as required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Directly supervises the mechanical maintenance staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Four (4) years experience in automotive and heavy equipment repairs for both gasoline and diesel engines or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience with fleet management principles; electrical and computerized emission control systems; Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements; and electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics of heavy equipment. Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read and comprehend simple work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in the English language. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent to support planning and estimating. Familiar with standard and metric measurement systems.

    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Willingness to learn and use PMC computer software.

    Other Skills and Abilities
    Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance repair; to make supervisory decisions affecting maintenance activities; to effectively communicate with a wide variety of groups and individuals, both verbally and written; knowledge of hazardous waste site operations and required PPE.
