Network Control Technician monitors performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies and troubleshoots network issues and follows procedures to resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Additionally, Network Control Technician follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. There is a test for licensing that needs to be taken but can be passed after one or two weeks of study and preparation. Training and guidance will be given during the study period and as you get your own truck and customer route.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and do light physical activities.
Must have active and clean drivers license.
