Job Summary
Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of network infrastructure within the Information Services Department. Ensures the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the network infrastructure, meet the service level agreements of the organization. May acquire, install, or upgrade network infrastructure components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; train and/or supervise staff; or offer technical support for projects. Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control.Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.

responsibility 2. Provide planning information to management for budgetary purposes. 3. Directs and coordinates project activities including network infrastructure component upgrades and patches. 4. Mentor, train, and monitor staff members of assigned work. 5. Provide technical network infrastructure project and support to application support areas within I/S, and to interface with application vendors to aid in installation of new network infrastructure releases/systems. 6. Recommend hardware/software upgrades or implementations for network infrastructure with regards to WLAN/LAN, MAN/WAN, and VOIP/VoWifi. 7. Works with customer to support current and develop future customer complex workflow requirements that relate to ongoing support and new implementations. 8. Plans, conducts, and may supervise assignments. 9. Reviews progress and evaluate results, including with manager/supervisor. 10. Recommends changes in procedures to create and/or align with Best Practices. 11. Demonstrates the ability to teach troubleshooting aids to other I/S department staff. 12. Demonstrates that skills have been developed in implementing performance-tuning tools to aid in monitoring network infrastructure performance. 13. Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. 12. Demonstrates ability to document technical action steps for a major network infrastructure component implementation. 13. Applies appropriate and timely communication skills with senior level management staff. 14. Completed advanced certification/accreditation for specific vendor and/or governing body related to specific applications/tools for which responsibility is held for support. Expert Certification preferred. 15. Demonstrates and participates in contract review process, which will include initial vendor contact and contract review prior to delivery to management for further review, negotiation, and execution. 16. Participates in RFQ/RFP process as a subject matter expert. 17. On call as required. 18. Flexible hours when needed. 19. All other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Preferred Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field. Advanced certification required, Expert Certification Preferred Experience: 8-10 years of related professional information technology support experience.
