Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes.   • Job Description:

    NDi is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Solutions for Classified Systems (CSfC) Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in evaluating communication hardware and software, troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN issues, and providing technical leadership in the testing and integration of the CSfC system to a government network. This role requires hands-on experience and a strong technical background in network enterprise operations, administration, and security.

    Candidates must reside in the following locations: North Carolina, Arizona, and Washington State

    Requirements:

    • U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Must possess Active Secret security clearance.
    • The position is onsite and requires presence at designated work location.
    • Must be willing to travel up to 50%

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in network administration and security.
    • 3 years minimum of Active Directory administration experience.
    • Current DOD IAT II Certification (e.g., CCNA, Security )
    • Already have or be able to obtain one of the following Computing Environment Certifications- MD-101, MD-102, AZ-104, CCNA, Server , NetApp.
    • One of the following Certifications- CCNP, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Dell Cloud-based certifications, AWS Cloud-based Network
    • Engineering certifications, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE), VMware 6.5 Foundations, CiscoISE 2.6
    • Must be familiar with DOD organizational structure as it relates to Network Enterprise Operations, navigating firewalls, DOD services integration, and DOD certificate routing requirements.
    • Experience with enterprise VDI Desktop services utilizing technologies such as VMWare.
    • Must have experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) on classified enterprise systems.
    • Must have experience with a wide range of networking technologies & enclaves, including but not limited to SIPRNet, NIPRNet, RIPR, VOSIP, ForeScout, McAfee, TACLanes, Vlans, ACLs, Frame Relay, Graylog, Cisco ASA 55xx, and Cisco NGFW.
    • Working knowledge of Windows 2016, ESXi 6.5, NetApp, SQL Server, Windows 10, Windows 11, UNIX, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, and Dell VRTX Server systems.


    Desirable Qualifications-

    • Previous experience with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) systems.
    • VMWare Certification.
    • Experience in a multi-tier network environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft FSLogix and VMware Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user data and setting persistency

    Key Responsibilities

    • Overall, Role- Provide you expertise in the build, setup, testing, and integration of an Enterprise CSfC system.
    • Network Evaluation- Assist in the evaluation of an enterprise CSfC solution to ensure optimal network performance and adherence to Zero Trust principles.
    • Virtual Server Maintenance- Able to maintain ESXi hosts and virtual servers within a vCenter 7.0 environment.
    • Troubleshooting- Work with a technical team in troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions, as needed.
    • Technical Leadership- As needed provide technical leadership in the integration and testing of a large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
    • System Maintenance- Collaborate with contractor and government stakeholders to schedule and execute system upgrades and configurations while minimizing downtime, disruptions, and system availability.
    • Tier III Support- Provide tier III request fulfillment and incident resolution.
    • Network Control and Monitoring- Work with a technical team to monitor the daily operation of an enterprise system, ensuring smooth network operations. Coordinate with the technical team on actions needed for any performance anomalies.
    • System Maintenance- Work with the technical team to conduct routine system maintenance, for both virtual and physical hardware components, and software components.
    • Availability- Coordinate with contractor and government leadership for any issues potentially impacting service availability.
    • Site to Site Coordination- Collaborate with technical staff at multiple nodes/sites to ensure effective network coordination and support is provided for any issue impacting system availability.
    • RMF and NSA- Work with technical staff and security staff to implement STIGS and implement controls as prescribed by RMF and NSA CSfC policy.
    • General Monitoring- Monitor and maintain the health of a virtual environment using tools such as vRealize.
    • Virtual Responsibilities- Work with the technical team to ensure virtualized desktop pools are modified or updated, as needed, for optimal performance.
    • On-Call support- Be prepared to be on-call to conduct swift troubleshooting touch labor within a data center.
    • Log Files Tasks- Conduct review system log files using SIEM tools such as Graylog.
    • Sys Ad Contributions- Work with System Admins to ensure proper application of patches and security updates to systems.
    • Third-Party Collaboration- As needed collaborate with third-party support and service vendors as necessary.
