Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Description
Under the supervision of the Manager of Information Technology, the Network Technician supports the operations of the IT department. This position includes both software and hardware support entailing the use of multiple software platforms and applications. This position also supports the Data Processing department in report distribution and other duties, as needed. Hardware and application support for end users is also required.
