Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products.     We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network infrastructure. You will work with state-of-the-art technology and be part of a team that is at the forefront of technological advancement in the industry. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for technology and innovation.

    The Network Engineer will work day-to-day with the core service provider network, including 100G and 400G core network circuits, DWDM Equipment, MPLS, private and public eBGP peering, and maintaining public IPv4 addressing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, high-availability network infrastructure.
    • Configure install and maintain Cisco routers / switches (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS)
    • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
    • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
    • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
    • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues.
    • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
    • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
    • Ensure network security and connectivity.
    • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
    • Define network policies and procedures.
    • Specify system requirements and design solutions.
    • Research and make recommendations on server system administration.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
    • 5 years of proven hands-on network engineering experience.
    • CCNP or CCNA
    • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
    • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
    • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
    • University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
    • Experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, IOS-XE, EIGRP, MPLS, EVPN, 100G, 400G core network circuits, IPv4, Cisco Networking, Network Design, DWDM Equipment, eBGP peering, special circuits.
    • Knowledge of setting up and configuring DHCP, DNS services.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong understanding of the business impact of network issues and the importance of maintaining a reliable network infrastructure.
    • Proven ability to learn and apply new technology quickly and effectively.
