Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. The Network Engineer Senior is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing our enterprise-wide network infrastructure, network communication protocols, and network supportive applications. This individual’s primary duties include implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure such firewalls, routers, switches, access points, virtual switches, fiber-channel SAN interconnects, and Microsoft Windows DNS and DHCP server applications; and providing support for services like remote device management, network redundancy and high availability. Network Engineer Senior collaborates with cross-functional technical and support staff to ensure the reliability, high performance, and scalability of mission critical network infrastructure and assists in the support of cloud infrastructure and related integrations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
Preferred/Optional: None
Minimum Required: Four years of relevant work experience and competency in an enterprise network environment.
Preferred/Optional: Competency in the following technologies: Meraki/Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, Enterprise Firewall and threat management systems, Management of DNS and DHCP systems, Management of VMware VSwitch technology, Management of fiber and copper networking plant and internconnects, Powershell.
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred/Optional: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification.

This is a hybrid position. Most responsibilities and routine tasks can be performed remotely. However, some periodic on-site work at each facility is required.
