Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Engineer work is closely managed.   • Detailed Description

    Netsync Network Solutions is looking for qualified individuals to fill the role of Enterprise Network Engineer I, specializing in Cisco Network Infrastructure. As a Network Engineer I, specific job responsibilities will vary by client engagement but will focus primarily on Cisco solutions architecture, system design, and implementation.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assist and participate with Netsync project teams in the configuration, implementation and support of networking and mobility solutions for Netsync clients
    • Work under the direction of a Netsync project teams to implement migration strategies, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, test plans, and disaster recovery plans for networking and mobility solutions
    • Perform network mobility assessments for Netsync clients
    • Provide knowledge transfer and detailed as-built documentation to clients
    • Provide quality assurance documentation and peer review on projects
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, technology partners, and internal teams
    • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for network and mobility infrastructures

    Additional Duties

    • Travel: 25%

    Skills and Experience

    Minimum of three years of related experience in network environments, including network engineering (hardware and software); network best practices; and implementing and troubleshooting LANs and WANs.

    • Cisco ISR Routers
    • Cisco Catalyst Switches
    • Cisco Prime Infrastructure
    • Cisco Layer 2 Switching
    • Cisco Layer 3 Routing Protocols
    • Cisco DNA Center (a plus)
    • Cisco WLC and Access Points (a plus)
    • SD-WAN knowledge (a plus)
    • SD-Access knowledge (a plus)
    • Excellent client management/resolution, problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills (required)
    • Excellent verbal communications and written documentation skills (required)
    • Previous VAR experience preferred.
    • Individual should be able to lift 50 lbs.

    Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Educational Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Active CCNA certified, CCNP preferred.
