Job Description:
The Network Engineer (Networks) will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing the EOIR's robust networking infrastructure to support mission-critical operations. This technical expert will ensure the reliability and security of both local and wide-area network connections within the organization. The role requires a thorough understanding of network architecture, including but not limited to managing LAN/WAN, WLAN, routers, switches, and related software. As a specialist in network services, the Network Engineer will coordinate with service providers like AT&T's Justice United Telecommunications Network (JUTNet) and manage all aspects of the network lifecycle from configuration to performance metrics and security management. Effective communication and documentation skills are essential to meet the compliance and regulatory requirements. The Network Engineer reports to the IT Department Head and must possess or be capable of obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.
