Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Experience/Education Requirements

    • Experience: Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
    • License or certification: ACI Field Grade 1 (Preferred), NICET Certification is a plus.
    • Location: Midland, Texas; Round Rock, Texas, Carlsbad, New Mexico; Hobbs, New Mexico. 

    Required Job Skills

    • Possess strong oral and writing skills to effectively communicate between project team members and clients.
    • Must be willing to relocate to the above respective office areas.
    • Possess the ability to perform field testing activities in an outdoor construction environment, which involves lifting heavy equipment and walking on uneven terrain in summer temperatures
    • Must be willing to travel to construction sites in remote locations throughout Texas and New Mexico.
    • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer tickets in the past 3 years.

    Job Tasks

    • Please note that extensive vehicle travel will be required throughout Texas and New Mexico.
    • Candidate will be primarily performing concrete and soil materials tests.
