Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting network operations support and assisting with network tech refresh projects.


    Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
    • Operate and maintain traditional WAN and SD-WAN networks, ensuring seamless connectivity.
    • Manage and maintain network monitoring solutions, such as Datadog, to proactively identify and address potential issues.
    • Operate and maintain Cloud voice solutions to ensure high-quality voice communications.
    • Administer and maintain ISE, 802.1x, and MAB for secure network access control.
    • Manage and maintain the wireless environment, including cloud controllers, to provide reliable wireless connectivity.
    • Collaborate with the network security engineer to implement secure configurations and perform network equipment software upgrades.
    • Utilize automation techniques to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
    • Assist with the implementation and operation of cloud networking solutions.
    • Provide on-call support for emergency network issues and outages, ensuring continuous network operation.
    • Research and recommend improvements in networking standards and processes to stay current with industry best practices.
    • Define and implement network policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience (4 years of additional experience may substitute for the degree).
    • At least 4 years of direct network engineering experience, demonstrating proficiency in network implementation, and troubleshooting.
    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and technologies.
    • General experience with Cisco SD-WAN, ISE, and Firepower is highly preferred.
    • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and programming languages like Python is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
