Position: Director of Engineering

Department: Maintenance

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Role: This position is a full-time exempt position within our company.

Summary: Lead maintenance team in overseeing all service and repairs to the buildings and properties of Cannon Green, Zero George, Costa, and Alcove. Develop and ensure adherence to preventative maintenance programs for all appliances, systems, and equipment. Assist in service and repairs for associated properties as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate solid leadership abilities.
• Delegate responsibilities, organize complex projects, and establish priorities consistent with business objectives and philosophies.
• Maintain a positive attitude and a courteous demeanor with all customers, staff, and vendors.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and assist with other responsibilities as needed to maintain a cohesive and productive work environment.

• Carpentry
• Electrical work
• Plumbing
• Painting
• HVAC maintenance
• Equipment maintenance
• Basic groundskeeping
• Basic repairs
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs, preferably cloud-based software
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and protocols.

General Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods, 8 to 12 hours.
• Ability to perform repetitive range of motion activities.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
