Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement an overall Practice Go To Market strategy with the intent of driving YoY business acceleration. The Practice leader will work cross-functionally to develop and execute an aligned plan across the ecosystem
    • The Practice leader must be a subject matter expert, and will be expected to continue to develop and evolve the practice strategy to ensure we are addressing customer's current and future requirements
    • Develop and deliver Sales and technical content with collaboration from the other practice leaders as appropriate
    • Productize offerings that can be executed by sales and delivered by Delivery and Operations teams in order to bring consistency and repeatability toward new opportunity development
    • Must be visible as a thought leader across technical and sales teams, and recommend the key partnerships for Blue Mantis to focus on to bring compelling solutions to market
    • Evangelize both internally as well as externally the differentiated value this practice delivers against specific customer expectations
    • Manage Financial KPIs leveraging SFDC and any other tools necessary to drive the practice forward
    • Adhere to a comprehensive governance model - Reporting, Strategy and Outcomes = on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence related to product and service sales
    • Manage, lead, mentor team members tied to your practice, understand their workload capacity in terms of number and size of opportunities
    • Leverage Definitions and Expectations to drive team member career paths
    • Continuously help drive our Assess, Modernize and Manage methodology and ensure all other practices are aligned
    • Drive Automation of tasks associated with sales pursuit.
    • Be maniacally focused on driving net new opportunity pipeline within the Blue Mantis customer base and in new accounts, and will be available to help close strategic pursuits from time-to-time
    Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
    Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of planning, designing, and implementing a comprehensive set of Solutions along with a strong business acumen, experience in the professional services industry preferred.

    • Solid understanding of Hybrid IT technology to include On-Prem and Hyperscalers
    • Knowledge and familiarity with the supported Practice technology and adjacent practices is required
    • Demonstrated progressive relevant experience defining, developing and executing on Services/Solutions, strategies, operations and action plans
    • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to customers and other stake holders (both technical as well as business oriented)
    • Proven ability to effectively and positively interact with and influence senior executives and other team members
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills are a must
    • Strong team player with amazing interpersonal skills and cross functional collaboration with common goals and outcomes
    • Experience in giving and receiving constructive feedback
    • Coach, motivate and train all team members within the practice and across practices to improve collaboration, delivery, quality and efficient services
    • Work with all appropriate team members including marketing and product management to contribute to common documentation standards
    • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods and techniques used in the development of Practices, ie Zone to Win as an example
    • Develop, implement and monitor training programs (Blue Mantis University)
    • Evaluate needs of the company and align with the strategic plans
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or related field with 10 to 15 years of experience
    • Extensive experience in developing and influencing Products and Services sales
    • Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to effectively lead a pre-sales organization and motivate and enable a Sales organization
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across other functional business teams
    • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and influence stakeholders at all level with our organization and with customers alike
    • Experience working with leading OEMs and ISVs Designing and architecting Modern Secure Network, SD-WAN and wireless solutions leveraging , HPE Aruba, Cisco, Cisco Meraki Broadcom(VMware), Fortinet, Barracuda, Palo Alto, Juniper, Microsoft, AWS, Ekahau and others
    • Current technical certifications from the above OEMs would a huge plus
    • Experience managing a large pre-sales engineering team
    • Experienced with Managed Services and associated technologies is a huge plus as well
    • Full understanding of the Security Landscape
    • This role can be performed remotely or from any company office location.
    • Role requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer. Requires ability to frequently interact with candidates and employees on the phone and through video conferencing.
    • May occasionally require unusual hours to speak with candidates at times they are available
    • Travel to customer and partner meetings as appropriate (frequency TBD)
