Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Join Our Team as the Director of Engineering at KWAVE!
Are you passionate about using your technical skills to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ? KWAVE, a commercial radio station licensed with the FCC and a wholly-owned ministry of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our technical support and planning for broadcast operations.
Your Role:
- Provide technical support and planning for the broadcast environment of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
- Ensure compliance with FCC rules and regulations and maintain high-quality standards.
- Design and develop documentation for computer-based solutions and analyze systems for various departments.
- Install and maintain video, audio, and other equipment associated with radio broadcasting.
Who You Are:
- A committed follower of Christ, demonstrating the love of Christ in all interactions.
- Dedicated to supporting the mission of KWAVE and Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa through technical excellence.
- Experienced in broadcast engineering with strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of broadcast engineering experience.
- Strong leadership experience with deep knowledge of FCC compliance, Radio Broadcasting, RF & Broadcast Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Available to work with short notice including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
