Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     POSITION OVERVIEW:

    As the Network Engineering Lead/Manager at EOS IT Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network infrastructure projects worldwide. Working hand-in-hand with the Service Delivery Manager, you will oversee a talented team of Network Engineers, driving the implementation and deployment of new office and data center networks. Your leadership will ensure the technical integrity of our projects, fostering innovation, and maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and service quality.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Network Engineers, ensuring technical standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate closely with the Service Delivery Manager to align project execution with client needs and company goals.
    • Spearhead the adoption of innovative technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and configuration of corporate networks across offices and data centers globally.
    • Ensure the technical excellence of network installations, configurations, testing, and troubleshooting, adhering to industry standards.
    • Drive innovation in network deployment strategies, optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Spearhead the technical direction for the team, staying ahead of trends and advancements in network technologies.
    • Facilitate strong communication between team members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
    • Manage project lifecycles from conception through to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and documentation.
    • Develop and enforce best practices for network integrity, performance, and redundancy planning.
    • Establish robust policies and procedures for network change management, ensuring minimal disruption to services and adherence to compliance requirements.
    • Champion the use of data analytics and network performance metrics to inform decision-making and improve network reliability and user satisfaction.
    • Conduct risk assessments for network projects and operations, developing mitigation strategies to address identified risks and ensure business continuity.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Proven experience in a leadership role within network engineering, with a strong technical background in network deployment and management, complemented by at least 8-10 years of progressive experience in network engineering roles.
    • Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIS/ JNCIE are preferred.
    • Extensive experience with vendor products like Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, and others.
    • Advanced experience of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, VPNs, and network technologies (TCP/IP, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
    • A solid understanding of wireless technologies and validation tools, with the ability to guide installations and troubleshoot complex issues.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams through technical challenges and roadblocks.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and teams across different geographies.
    • Willingness to travel globally as required, adapting to various working hours to meet project needs.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and in-spire a diverse team.
    • Experience in budget management and cost optimization for network projects, including vendor negotiations, procurement processes, and lifecycle management of network assets, with at least 3 years in a financial oversight role within network engineering.
    • Demonstrated leadership in fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and learning within the network team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, with at least 5 years in a leadership role promoting technical and professional development.
    • Strong advocacy for best practices in IT governance, compliance, and regulatory standards relevant to network engineering.
