Network Engineering Director jobs in Winston Salem, NC

Network Engineering Director plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Director directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Director keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Engineering Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Requirements

    • At least three years of experience in a childcare organization or related experience
    • Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Background working with state and local agencies pertaining to childcare
    • Must pass state-required criminal background check

    Responsibilities

    • Support the School Director in interviewing, hiring and terminating employees
    • Provide supervisory assistance when needed or in the absence of the School Director
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly documents regarding compliance and corporate reporting
    • Assist in the management of the P&L reports as well as accounts receivables and payables
    • Implement curriculum along with activities, special events and field trips to enhance learning and development of children
    • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents and children
    • Follow and maintain state requirements regarding training for all staff, annually and upon hire
    • Meet and maintain compliance with all state licensing and training requirements
    • Prioritize and coordinate staff work assignments as needed
    • Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including working in classroom and other areas of the school when needed
