Job Position: Engineering Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: WEEKLY PAY
Payrate: 95K-110K
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
Responsibilities for Engineering manager:
- Provide technical leadership and drive talent development within the organization.
- Responsible for successfully managing the completion of several complex projects.
- Prioritize projects among various product lines and business units to ensure that all safety, quality, manufacturing line support, cost reductions and product enhancements are addressed in support of each business unit.
- Negotiating directly with the business unit leads to resolving priority issues.
- Create and manage detailed project scope descriptions, cost estimates and implementation strategies for small- and large-scale projects.
- Report on status to business units and Front-Line Leadership Team regularly.
- Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements.
- Responsible for the quality, practices, and standard engineering activities to enhance and modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
- Provide support to work on multi-functional teams across multiple continents, international travel required. Qualifications/Requirements for
Engineering manager Requirements:
- Ability to understand production processes and should be aware about the production operations.
- Ability to analyze complex manufacturing data and propose changes leading to higher efficiency and safety.
- Deep understanding of disciplined product development through phase gate processes, regulatory and quality requirements
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes of sheet metal.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and reduce sustainable solutions to practice.
- Successful track record of identifying, recruiting, mentoring, developing, and managing high potential talent, including deep technical experts.
- Demonstrated ability to form, inspire, and develop high-functioning, high-performing diverse teams.
- Experience with BOM management (Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing and Service) and product variant management is a plus.
- Knowledge in cross-organization operational processes.
- Extensive knowledge in core engineering processes and tools
- Ability to use structured problem-solving techniques to root cause and sustain improvements.
- Experience in adhering to quality management system processes and procedures.
- Use of six sigma and statistical tools.
- Relevant degree such as bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering i.e. Technical, Mechanical Engineering.
- Must know Solid works.
