Network Engineering Manager manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Manager conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. Role and Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for managing a highly skilled engineering team in an AS9100 machining facility in accordance with world class aerospace requirements. We are looking for a dynamic leader that exemplifies leadership qualities and ability to foster growth and development with our engineering team and help drive success of the business. The focus of this role will be technical lead in allocating resources while competing with multiple priorities and variables.
· Manage a team of highly skilled technical labor including but not limited to manufacturing engineers, programmers, quality engineers & and aerospace engineers
· Articulates a compelling vision and provides technology and innovation strategic direction aligned with Colinear’s overall business plan and mission. Creates and communicates the organizational vision and directs resources to achieve the technology roadmap and sustained organic growth
· Responsible for all front-end engineering tasks including method of manufacture, contract review, review of all customers technical flow downs and specs
· Perform reviews of department work products (e.g., technical reports, drawings, basis of estimates, etc.) for completeness.
· Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
· Foster a culture of technical excellence, encouraging collaboration, and facilitating professional development.
· Collaborate with executive management and other partners to understand business requirements and translate them into engineering initiatives.
· Set performance expectations, conduct periodic performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members to develop pipeline of technical talent
· Develop and implement tactical plans to meet annual operational goals, including new business execution, continuous improvement initiatives, quality objectives, and profitability targets
