Network Engineering Manager manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Being a Network Engineering Manager conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Additionally, Network Engineering Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION OVERVIEW:

     As our Network Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in leading a team of network professionals to deliver high quality, available, redundant services according to our customer requirements. The Network Engineering Manager provides leadership, technical oversight, planning, and coordination. The Manager will provide mentoring, professional development, and career advancement opportunities to direct reports across the globe and ensure that direct reports are contributing and performing effectively.

     Required skills:

    • 3 years' experience as network manager
    • Experience implementing, managing and delivering within SLAs
    • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
    • Experience troubleshooting network devices
    • Experience in working in a multi-partner environment
    • Experience in growing a team of network talent
    • Ability to engage with a wide range of customers and experience levels

    Key responsibilities & duties include:


    • Managing the outcomes of the network engineer and technical delivery engineers
    • Manage vendor and partner relationships
    • Work closely with the pre-sales team and Network Lead on designs, budgets and framework
    • Ensure SLA's and OLA's are met and reported to the business
    • Represent Networks on operational boards
    • Team and talent development
    • Supporting delivery and operation where necessary
    • Maintain continuity, capacity and compliance

    Desirable skills:


    • Network certification (e.g. CCNP / CCIE) advantageous
    • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
    • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels
    • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
    • Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
    • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
    • Ability to work with all levels of staff within different business units in the company
    • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Dependable and flexible when necessary
    • Experience on Network security, LAN and WAN
    • Network Engineering or Delivery experience
    • Commercial experience
    • Experience in team development and training
    • Experience in regulated environments and critical infrastructure environments
    • Experience in Hybrid Cloud and Network Automation
