Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description

    We are seeking an IT Network Operations Admin for a 12-month contract (with the option to extend further) in Chattanooga, TN.  This role will be onsite/in the office, supporting a Network Operations Center, Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule required. There are different scheduling options available. At this time, we are looking at 11:00 am- 6:30 pm Monday- Friday.  

    In this role, you will: 

     

    • Maintain network performance, security, monitoring, analyzing and troubleshooting network problems.
    • Support the following  technologies and processes:
    1. Line of business applications & In-house technologies
    2. Active Directory/SCCM
    3. SAN
    4. Application servers
    5. File servers
    6. Communication servers
    7. Edge devices
    8. LAN, VLAN & WAN
    9. Security, firewalls and switches

    Qualifications

    • Experience supporting Information Technology Networks
    • Excellent communications, technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with all Windows operating systems, Exchange, Active Directory, Cisco and HP equipment.

    Nice to have: 

    • In depth networking experience that includes deep technical and functional understanding of network security, WAN, LAN and internet routing and switching protocols, wireless, VPN, and VM Ware capabilities.
    • Experience in deploying and managing network and application monitoring solutions that provide clear visibility into network traffic and performance.
    • Experience with Disaster Recovery, Resiliency Planning, and planning highly available solutions
    • Experience with and good working knowledge of, Domains, Segmentation, Account Management, Network backups, Trusts, Policies, Network Protocols and Bindings, and Software Imaging, and Firewalls.
    • Experience managing and supporting Fiber Optic, CCTV, RDS, DMS, etc.

     

    Additional Information

    This 12-month contract (with the option to extend further) will be located onsite/ in the office in a Network Operations Center environment in Chattanooga, TN  (no remote options).
