Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Director of Operations and Finance will be self-motivated and will direct and manage the business activities while developing and implementing effective business strategies and programs.

    The Director of Operations and Finance will:
     
    • Have full P&L responsibilities, hitting budget, and strong financial competence
    • Document and create processes to ensure the accuracy of raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory
    • Review job cost detail reports ensuring costs are being accurately captured and reported and are in line with job quotes
    • Knowledge of MRP systems to match operational and financial activities
    • Ensure jobs are properly closed so costs are correctly allocated
    • Maintaining margins and monitoring financial activities
    • Create forecasts and budget while managing operational costs
    • Set policies and make decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of plant operations
    • Meet and develop strong relationships with top 10 customers
    • Assist the sales managers on sales calls when needed
    • Work with customers on new projects development
    • Sales review call every other week with CEO
    • Conduct a weekly quote review meeting between sales and engineering
    • Sit in on weekly production meetings to ensure schedule is being followed
    • Contribute to weekly KPI meetings to ensure on-time delivery, efficiency, productivity, and safety targets are being met
    • Provide weekly good/bad updates to CEO
    • Maintain the employee-friendly culture and keep the management and production team intact.
     
    To be successful in the role the Director of Operations and Finance must possess:
     
    • 5 years P&L responsibility
    • High-volume metals manufacturing experience preferred
    • Strong understanding of balance sheet and income statement
    • Degree in Accounting or Master’s in Business Administration
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
    • Excels at developing internal relationships, genuinely cares about their team members, and creates an employee-first environment.
