Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • The Director of Operations is responsible for all operational aspects of all Coffeehouse Kitchen’s across multiple locations. Working with a team, they will oversee planning, organizing, training and financial aspects of the restaurant. They will have a full working knowledge of all systems, policies and procedures in accordance with company specifications as well as state laws and regulations. They will need to collaborate with corporate on support and resources. They will foster a positive and safe work environment and be responsible for the growth and development of their employees. The GM will drive revenues and profits by developing and demonstrating strong management and leadership skills and experience in both front and back of the house operation. The GM is required to maintain the highest standards of food, service, health and safety, as well as ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the Coffeehouse Kitchen and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.


    We are seeking candidates in any of the following areas: Des Moines, Iowa Corridor, and Quadcities.


    Director of Operations Responsibilities:

    • Be an effective leader and role model for staff and management.
    • Take responsibility for the successful operation of the business by building revenues and controlling expenses.
    • Manage labor and purchases to maximize profitability.
    • Oversee multiple locations and ensure consistency of experience across locations.
    • Perform menu analysis and design.
    • Ensure that policies, procedures, standards, specifications and guidelines are adhered to.
    • Provide a positive and safe work environment for staff.
    • Participate in creating growth strategy and modeling to support.
    • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation and cleanliness.
    • Continually strive to develop your managers in all areas of managerial and professional development.
    • Supports corporate banking initiatives that drive customer acquisition including but not limited to ITM’s, Vibrant cards and app, loyalty opportunities.
    • Develop employees by establishing performance expectations, providing coaching and counseling as needed and conducting performance reviews on an annual basis.
    • Manage brand reputation according to company standards.
    • Provide education on service, food and beverage and conduct product knowledge testing to ensure the service team is prepared to deliver knowledgeable service for our guests.
    • Drive financial performance by maximizing revenues and controlling COGS, labor and expenses.
    • Negotiate new vendor contracts and monitor pricing to ensure we’re purchasing the highest quality products at competitive pricing in line with budgeted costs.
    • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
    • Evaluate current market trends and adjust product inventories accordingly.
    • Manages inventory and bookkeeping.
    • Be knowledgeable of state employment policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
    • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
    • Responsible for budget preparation as well as analyzing monthly and yearly P&L statements.
    • Identifies sales maximization opportunities, presents return on investments, forecast and modeling to support direction.
    • Oversee the roasting operations including quality, supply, roasting standards and cost engineering.
    • Maintain current knowledge of all systems including but not limited to; Toast POS, Xtra Chef, MS Office, Radyiant, Online Platforms and Website Management.
    • Responsible for overseeing the events and catering and implementing strategies to further drive business to the Coffeehouse Kitchen.
    • Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest and direct communication.


    Position Qualifications:

    • 5 or more years of General Manager experience in the food and beverage industry.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, directing and motivating a team.
    • Professional, customer service-focused, and solution-oriented.
    • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced and high stress work environment.
    • Thorough understanding of profit and loss statements and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Must have strong leadership, project management, and process improvement skills.
    • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
    • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift 50 lbs.'
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on needs: Must be able to occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays.
