Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Seeking a Network Operations Technician to manage independently the daily technical, operations and maintenance support services. Need experience working on network equipment, installing of equipment. Helpful to have similar experience working for Comcast Cable, OCC, or AT&T as a Technicians. Working on site.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for operating systems and networks.
- Research methodology and data analysis techniques.
- Computer software methodology and data analysis.
- Techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
- TCP/IP network protocols, routing methodologies, OSI communications model and VLAN/QOS provisioning methodologies.
- Network directory services (i.e. Active Directory, eDirectory, LDAP).
- Server hardware such as tape and disk storage subsystems, UPS, and power management systems.
- Network operating system (i.e. Windows Server 200X, Linux, OES).
- Wireless communications protocols such as IEEE 802.11.
- Principle of electronics, video and telecommunications systems and circuits.
- Create and follow procedures, documentation and reports
- Has general oversight of our hardware and software and all technical equipment
- Experience with Cisco / HP routers, switches
- Network Cabling (installation & troubleshooting)
- Basic Internet Protocol (IP) Troubleshooting
- Ability to utilize tools (drill, punch-down, toner,) in a networked environment
- Laptop terminal skills patch Panel Management Experience
Requirements
Three years network technician installing equipment.
Associate Degree in Electronics helpful
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email
Ability to follow processes & safety procedures
Good communication skills
Good DMV record
