Network Operations Director manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Director provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Director leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or it. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Network Operations Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Directly managing all aspects of operations, including site management, the self-performance team, and project managers.
    • Actively contributing as a key member of the leadership team.
    • Oversee and champion project budgets, performance, quality, and safety.
    • Initiating customer conversations to gauge satisfaction and experience
    • Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Cultivating and strengthening relationships with trade partners, vendors, and customers.
    • Engaging in L10 meetings, communicating progress, addressing roadblocks, and managing scorecard responsibilities related to projects and customers.
    • Setting clear departmental goals to drive team success.
    • Driving deadlines and ensuring the achievement of desired results.
    • Proactively identifying, mitigating, or avoiding potential issues in troubled projects.
    • Providing support to all other departments, including estimating, finance, IT, HR, and legal.
    • Forecasting departmental needs.


    This is a full time, in-person role based in Grand Rapids, MI


    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    Required:

    • 5 years of Operations experience
    • Experience in Division 9 (metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceiling tiles)
    • 3 years of Team Leadership experience
    • 3 years of Budgeting experience
    • Experience in Commercial Construction
    • Customer Success experience

    Preferred:

    • 4-year degree and/or Construction Management experience
    • Project Management (PM) experience
    • Experience in Vendor & Trade Partner Relationship Management
    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite and ProCore (Construction Management Software)

    Desired:

    • EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) experience
    • Former Site Supervision experience
    • Experience with the Edge Estimating Software
