Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Ensures effective utilization of network management tools and applications to enhance system performance and limit downtime. Makes recommendations for purchases of network hardware, software, servers, and communications for current and future systems. Essential Duties and Accountabilities:        Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks and data centers including hardware/software support, training, and special projects        Plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.        Provide continuous monitoring on health of network (hardware & servers), troubleshooting and correction as needed.        Work in Network Operation Group to implement, administrate/manage the corporate network (including WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN, VOIP)        Pro-actively ensure stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the network, while providing monthly or ad hoc reports on activity, quality and performance of this network.        Coordinate new implementations of links, all network components (routers, switches, etc...), and network solutions including monitoring, troubleshooting, predicting tools.         Support telephone systems for multiple sites including voicemail and unified communications. Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for managing a team of IT network professionals. Education and Experience: 10 years of experience managing and configuring of large-scale networks. Proven demonstration of effective leadership, management style, team building, and must be results oriented. CCNP certification preferred Bachelor's degree preferred in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or related field. Work Environment/Physical Demands: •Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment. •The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. •Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10-20% of time
