Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. IT Administrator-Network Operations

    Essential Functions
    1. Endpoint and Infrastructure Imaging
      1. Responsible for operations delivering all operating systems (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iOS/iPadOS, Linux, and Android) OS imaging and for all device whether physical, virtual or cloud based.
      2. Driving a modern OS management practice.
      3. Establish and maintain touchless provisioning of new endpoint devices administering and maintaining systems and automation. Utilize enterprise automation tools to create hands-free device deployment, administration, and revocation processes.
      4. Implement automation for all aspects of the environment. Automate security patching, software deployment, and configuration changes to endpoint environment to all credit union supported target operating systems.
      5. Ensure compliance with established policy and procedures maintain integrity of the asset inventory
      6. Ensure timely remediation and report on end point vulnerabilities meeting or exceeding organizational guideline timeframes
      7. Drive standards for documentation and ensuring appropriateness by audience
      8. Set standards and drive automation software updates, software distribution and firmware updates on network equipment and network attached devices
      9. Own lifecycle management of hardware and software
      10. Experience with implementing and managing ITIL processes and aligning or establishing best practices for Summit's internal processes
    2. Security
      1. Responsible for ensuring execution and adherence to company objectives around maintaining performance and security of the overall environment.
      2. Develop an automation strategy for patch and software delivery that meets the credit union defined objectives for operation and security
      3. Develop an automation strategy maintaining and updating all devices regardless of device type of OS
      4. Develop an automation strategy for managing and updating network devices and network attached devices
      5. Design and implement processes or procedures for managing images, OS levels, firmware levels, and related system attributes
      6. Design and manage group policy throughout credit union for endpoints and related end user experience
      7. Ensure proper operation and deployment credit union standard security settings, software clients and plugins for all points regardless of type

    3. Measured Outcomes
      1. Adhere to internal and external measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technical operations and their impact
      2. Adhere to metrics that demonstrate the adequacy and compliance to credit union security objectives relative to areas within scope
      3. Supporting a culture of transparency, develop and publish metrics on overall team performance and system effectiveness relative to credit union objectives and norms.
      Additional Functions
      1. Assist with additional projects and other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.
      2. Ability to work irregular hours and assume on-call responsibilities as needed.
      3. Create and maintain related documentation.

      Job Specifications

      Bachelor's degree in IT-related field and four years of IT experience, or five years of progressive professional Information Technology experience and demonstrated strong technical acumen through technical certification.

      Training and certification in Microsoft, Google, or Apple is a plus.

      Technical Background:

      • Working knowledge of Windows enterprise management tools such as SCCM, MECM and Autopilot.
      • Working knowledge of Azure, Active Directory and management techniques for both on prem and cloud environments.
      • Understanding of Mac enterprise management software such as Jamf or KACE.
      • Working knowledge of various VDI technology, including VMWare and service like Azure desktop
      • Experience with Splunk is preferred but not required
      • Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS and IOS devices in an enterprise environment.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Collaboration tools.
      • Understanding of Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow

      Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for professional interactions with all levels of credit union staff under normal and adverse circumstances.

      Strong communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in systems support process.

      Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

      Requires detailed, team oriented working style with the ability to apply critical thinking to resolve problems in new situations.

      Previous experience documenting complex workflows and transforming into automated solutions.

      Knowledge of data security practices and procedures.

      Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
