Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Essential FunctionsJob Specifications
Bachelor's degree in IT-related field and four years of IT experience, or five years of progressive professional Information Technology experience and demonstrated strong technical acumen through technical certification.
Training and certification in Microsoft, Google, or Apple is a plus.
Technical Background:
Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for professional interactions with all levels of credit union staff under normal and adverse circumstances.
Strong communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in systems support process.
Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requires detailed, team oriented working style with the ability to apply critical thinking to resolve problems in new situations.
Previous experience documenting complex workflows and transforming into automated solutions.
Knowledge of data security practices and procedures.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
