Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.   • Job Requirements:

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a Campus Shuttle location and for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the Campus Operations Department.
    Role and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the operation, growth, and development of the campus shuttle services

      • Supervise team, overseeing their development and training, making sure all employees are cross trained
      • Driver and Office schedule

        • Avoid overtime
        • Ensure driver schedule allows drivers the mandated 8 hours off and does not exceed 10 hours of driving or 15 hours of on duty time
        • Ensure department supervisors are aware of any drivers scheduled for charter

      • Monitor the charter bookings to ensure we do not overcommit our equipment
      • Provide the University with the required reports and other data daily, weekly and monthly as requested

    • Attend customer meetings as required
    • Train and hire staff to keep up with labor demands of the campus service
    • Hire CDL drivers to meet demands of campus service
    • After hours on call as scheduled

      • Additional on call required during inclement weather
      • After hours on call includes office coverage if an employee calls out and no one else is available to work
      • After hours driver emergencies to include roadside emergencies, driver call out and accidents

    • Customer service training of all employees

      • Ensure that all employees uphold the company standard for customer service and conduct themselves on the phone and the bus accordingly

    • Assist with driver and office payroll of all employees
    • Maintain invoicing spreadsheets for accounts payable
    • Assist with Driver logs
    • Help create and maintain DOT driver files, ensuring new hires have completed all necessary screenings and submitted proper documentation
    • Complete all random drug testing for department before quarterly deadline
    • Assist with duties as delegated by Regional Manager during times of audit prep
    • Reasonable Suspicion training
    • Ensure all dispatch personal have been trained and are proficient with accident and drug testing training
    • DOT compliance
    • Other duties as required



    Job Description:
    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
    • Five (5) years transportation or logistics management experience; at least three (3) of those years managing upwards of 15 employees
    • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes and passenger endorsements
    • Working knowledge of DOT and safety regulations
    • Software experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook and other Internet applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English
    • Satisfactory completion of each of the following:

      • Background investigation
      • Drug test
