What does a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional, QIDP do?
· A Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) creates service plans, activity plans and learning goals for individuals with developmental disabilities
· A Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) manages a staff of direct care workers
· A Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) works independently to oversee daily operations of small residential home for adults with developmental disabilities
Qualifications:
· Strong Management skills, dedication, team attitude, strong leadership skills and computers skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field (sociology, special education, psychology, other) from a four-year college or university.
· Minimum of one year of personal or professional experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
