Calhoun Heath Care Center is seeking an experienced Director of Rehab/DOR who is a GA licensed (or eligible) Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist/ Assistant to oversee therapy department and support the mission, values and vision of organization. Ideal candidate will have a leadership background in SNF/LTC for this integral role to ensure the delivery of quality care and achieving positive outcomes. Responsibilities:
· Lead, orient and mentor all therapy staff; excited about the opportunity to 'build a rehab department' with the very best

· Review all relevant data and utilize clinical judgement to ensure appropriate delivery of therapy care to maximize outcomes and meet desired goals at discharge
· Plan accordingly to schedule staff based on clinical needs and coordinate treatment activity of staff members

· Ensure accuracy, timeliness and organization of all departmental paperwork, including conducting documentation audits
· Prompt preparation and delivery of any regular or ad hoc reports

· Reports to work on time and coordinates schedule to achieve maximum efficiency
· Establish and promote clinical programs/enhancement as indicated
· Adheres to established confidentiality standards
· Engage in recruiting interviews, employee development, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective actions, performance appraisals
· Work pro-actively to manage and build PRN pool, contact and schedule as needed
· Participate in facility and company meetings
· Ability to analyzes interpret and achieve budget expectations on a consistent basis
· Assure staff all understand and are compliant with the Federal, State and Local laws, rules and regulations related to therapy service delivery
· Provide a safe environment to utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions and standards for the healthcare professional
· Develop professional working relationships with staff, facility team members, residents, and resident family members
