Perdido Beach Service (PBS) has a rare opening for a Beach Service Manager. As the Beach Service Manager, working with our management team, overseeing our company's day-to-day operations and ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

For over 40 years, PBS has provided beach services in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Perdido Key, focusing on superlative customer service and 100% satisfaction. Our services include beach rentals, watersports rentals, and through our affiliates, sailing cruises, dolphin tours, and parasailing adventures.

Job Duties

• Maintain good public relations with all beach patrons through a friendly and helpful attitude and neat appearance.
• Oversee the operations of our beach program and staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of beach chairs, umbrellas, and tables.
• Oversee and monitor each shift's daily check-in and check-out inventory process.
• Pick up debris from the beach, boardwalks, dunes, and perimeter of properties we service.
• Practice safety by enforcing policies, rules, regulations, and ordinances.
• Organize and keep the Beach Manager's Office, shop area, and maintenance area orderly and clean.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Handling guest complaints and ensuring all issues are addressed to appropriate Managers, following up, and the result has to meet the highest guest satisfaction.
• During the season (Spring Break-Labor Day), candidates must be available after hours to assist with managing personnel and customer issues.
• Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.

We are looking for someone who meets the following requirements and qualifications for this role:

• Ability to work outside for most of the work day in extreme heat during summer months.
• Degree in business, hospitality/tourism, or related field or Military experience with command of 10 , or operations/logistics managerial experience
• Hospitality experience is a plus!
• 3 years experience managing a staff of 10 employees
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• Self-starting, flexible, and team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Experience with seasonal business with demanding in-season hours
• Knowledge or familiarity with Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Key condominiums, local governments, and/or rental businesses
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
• Ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours and weekends.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
