Neurology Director oversees the operations of the neurology unit within a healthcare facility. Implements and develops the neurology services according to the organizational objective and in compliance with cost control methods. Being a Neurology Director directs neurology staff involved in the diagnosis and care of patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Neurology Director typically reports to top management. The Neurology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Neurology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Founded in 1993, Disability Services of the Southwest (DSSW) is one of the largest providers of support services to people with disabilities and the elderly in the State of Texas.
Our services include personal attendant services, nursing and therapies, as well as assistance in home modification, adaptive aids, job coaching and supported employment.
Our Program Directors (equivalent to a Case Manager, not an Executive/Administrator level position) are responsible for the internal operation of the CLASS waiver program. Experience working with people with disabilities is required!
Essential tasks:
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the assigned program.
- Monitoring services provided for assigned client case load.
- Assure that all program and licensure standards are met.
- Provide support to office staff.
- Reports any concerns and/or issues to the Lead Program Director.
- Travel required for client visits and community activities as necessary.
Requirements:- Two (2) years' experience providing services to people with disabilities required.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other relevant field required.
- Case Management experience preferred, but not required.
- Home health experience preferred.
- Experience with CLASS, CBA, DBMD, PHC, or DADS a plus.
- Is fluent in the communication methods used by an individual
- Must be able to demonstrate competence with computer applications such as MS Word and Excel and have the ability to readily learn agency specific software.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver's and auto liability insurance.
