Job description

• Customer Service: Greet patients with a smile and treat with compassion and understanding
• Confirmation: When you arrive in the morning, you need to open the schedule and call the unconfirmed patients. This needs to be done before you do anything else unless the patient is waiting to be checked in or checked out.
• Unconfirmed Next day - patients need to be called after 2 pm, and it needs to be documented in the chart section that you called and what happened. If it is confirmed, the status needs to be changed to confirm.
• No-Show Appointments - At the end of the day, you need to call the no show patients and try to reschedule them, unless there is no note from Dr. Amiri or administration indicating in red alert that patients cannot be scheduled any more.
• Eligibility: Check the eligibility and see if there is any change in the insurance. There are multiple new managed plans attached to Medicaid, so we need to look carefully.
• Patient Registration: Ensure patient demographics, pharmacy information, insurance and any needed paperwork or agreements are completed and uploaded to the patient's chart.
• Collection: Collect any patient balances and or copays before they are seen for the day. Be sure to look in Dr.Chrono and Trimed.
• Call patient to room: After check in, call back the patient and collect vitals and review medical and medication history. Update patient chart to reflect the information.
• Check out patient = Schedule f/up appts and review any orders from Provider from visit. Referrals and Imaging needs tasks sent to appropriate Dept. Print or verify labs if ordered.
• CCMDs- sending notes to referring office to be completed for your location
• Sample Closet - Help maintain and organize sample storage alert site supervisor or rep if needing more samples
• Supplies - Let site supervisor know if supplies are needed
• Cleaning- Make sure lobby and kitchen are cleaned at the end of day and depending on location take trash out

Daily Deposits- make sure envelope deposited same day in safe initialed with receipt and date

This is a part-time position for Sundays only with opportunity for full time in the next 2 weeks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Laurinburg, NC 28352: Relocate before starting work (Required)
