Neurology Director oversees the operations of the neurology unit within a healthcare facility. Implements and develops the neurology services according to the organizational objective and in compliance with cost control methods. Being a Neurology Director directs neurology staff involved in the diagnosis and care of patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Neurology Director typically reports to top management. The Neurology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Neurology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for independently performing standard and complex electroencephalograms, ambulatory EEGs, evoked potentials, and nerve conduction studies on all age groups (neonate to geriatric). This position is accountable for the selected assigned departmental responsibilities and assumes Team Leader responsibilities as assigned.

- Complies departmental processes and assigned job responsibilities according to established time frames.
- Verifies daily charges and makes corrections within 2 working days.
- Communicates and follows up on phone messages in an accurate and timely manner.
- Actively participates in performance improvement monitoring, the development of action plans, and the evaluation of those plans.
- Updates clinical testing policies annually, based on current evidence-based practice and national guidelines.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High School or equivalent.
- 2 Years in performing EEG/NCV/EP/TCD
- Current AHA BLS required. ABRET Registry - EEG/EP/NCV or CMMY, within 1 Year
