Neurology Director jobs in Phoenix, AZ

Job Duties:

· Prepare and disinfect all back office clinical rooms

· Restock supplies

· Track inventory

· Rooming patients

· Vitals

· Update/ record patients medical hx and meds

· Address appointment concerns and symptoms

· Schedule appt

· Prep Botox for the day

· Redirect and fax out Imaging, labs, and any procedures (Physical therapy or lumbar punctures) ordered

· Begin chart prep for the following clinical day make sure we have everything ready for the appointments. For Dr. Zuniga, Print hub, last chart note, and any reports/labs that will need to be reviewed during the appt with the patient.

· Assist in patient distress/complaints

· Majority of documents and telephone encounters are directed to the MA's (Falls under High call volume)

· Process Prior authorizations for all medications and Imaging (MRI's, CT) orders

· Botox Prep

· NP BOTOX prep: Begin PA, provide specialty pharmacy, (all clinicals, signed prescription, and demos are faxed to specialty pharmacy). This usually takes 4-5 days after Botox PA is approved.

· F/U BOTOX PREP: Call specialty pharmacy and schedule shipping if nothing else will need to be renewed or adjusted ( 1 specialty call can take up to 20-35 minutes for finish processing in full)

· New start infusion orders

· Prep enrollment forms (Genentech/Tysabri BIOGEN)

· Send order to infusion companies covered by INS. Attached last 2-3 chart notes, labs, MRI's (or any supporting details to diagnosis), and demos.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Efficient problem solver
• Strong knowledge of medical language and health insurance plans
• Previous medical office experience required
• MA Certificate Required
• Experience with computer programs, such as GMAIL or Microsoft Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
