Position: Front Desk / Medical Assistant

Location: Alliance Neurology Consultants

Type: Full-Time (Monday through Friday)

Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk / Medical Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering phone calls in a professional manner and managing communication with patients.

Coordinating appointments and interactions between patients and our team of physicians.

Collaborating with the billing and authorization team to ensure all procedures are covered and approved.

Ensuring that patient charts are meticulously maintained, with all information up-to-date and accurate.

Collecting co-pays and handling other front-desk responsibilities as needed.

Supporting our healthcare team to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness for our patients.

Additional Tasks We Need Fulfilled:

Scheduling follow-up appointments and managing appointment reminders.

Assisting in the preparation of patient rooms and materials needed for treatment.

Facilitating communication between different departments to ensure smooth patient care processes.

Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and welcoming environment in the front office and patient areas.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient care.

Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is highly preferred.

A background in medical knowledge, patient communication, or similar is desirable.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

A commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a medical office setting, especially in a neurology practice, is an advantage.

Knowledge of medical billing and authorization processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
