Summary:

The Accounts Payable Representative processes invoices, check requests, expense reimbursements, patient refunds, and other miscellaneous payment requests. This position is responsible for resolving invoice discrepancies and facilitates timely reconciliation of statements. The Accounts Payable Representative corresponds with internal and external constituents and responds to inquiries. Adheres to policies, procedures, and State and Federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required:

• High school diploma or GED.

Experience & Training Required:

• At least two (2) years of Accounts Payable experience.

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

• General computer literacy; accounts payable software experience preferred.

• General clerical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work as a team member.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

• Typing proficiency of 40-wpm with accuracy.

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts and practices within Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve.

• Ability interact professionally with both internal and external constituents to accomplish departmental goals.

• Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

• Microsoft Excel proficiency is preferred.

• Must maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial records.

• Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
