New Accounts Representative opens a variety of new accounts for customers including checking, IRA, CD and others. Collects required information from new account customers and completes account set up process including data input, verifying references, and documentation. Being a New Accounts Representative provides information and answers questions regarding interest rates, fees, and bank policies. May complete process to transfer accounts for customers. Additionally, New Accounts Representative makes appropriate referrals to cross-sell a variety of bank services. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Accounts Representative possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The Michigan Conference of Teamsters Welfare Fund has an immediate opening for an Employer Accounts Representative.
The selection process includes 2 assessments. Candidates who fail to complete the assessments will not be considered.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Creating and maintaining Employer records:
Create and maintain Employer records in PCMACS and Basys systems. Ensure set-up and billing is consistent with participation agreement(s), collective bargaining agreement(s), and memorandums of understanding.
Monitor Employer accounts:
Timely update of employment status changes; monitor application of Benefit Bank Weeks/Maintenance of Benefit Weeks and coverage pursuant to the grievance procedure. Administer benefit package changes.
Billing and Payments:
Bill companies for coverage based on eligibility. Create, update, and mail contribution remittance statements. Apply contributions to provide participant eligibility. Reconcile contributions received with amount owed. Process Employer refunds.
Review and confirm daily lockbox reports and payments. Deposit Employer payments received. Enter ACH deposits. Send daily contribution reports to Finance Department.
Communication:
Maintain contact with Employer representatives and Local Unions, via telephone or written correspondence, regarding delinquencies, shortages, overages, untimely notifications, late interest, non-sufficient funds, etc.
Educate Employer representatives on MCTWF’s rules, policies, and procedures. Send new Employer welcome package.
Address Employer discrepancies/issues, including providing backup/research for Employer credit/waiver requests to Director to present to Employer Accounts Committee.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience
Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping strongly preferred
1-2 years of non-profit experience
Demonstrable problem-solving skills
Self-starter
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
The position is currently remote but is expected to return onsite in the near future. The successful candidate must be willing to work in an onsite environment. Candidates who cannot reliably commute to Detroit will not be considered.
