New Policy Coordinator processes incoming applications for new and renewing policies to include changes/updates according to company guidelines for group health, dental and/or life policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Coordinator serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. Requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, New Policy Coordinator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Coordinator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Work-based Learning Coordinator

    Job Status: Exempt

    Job Summary: Supervise work-based learning staff, establish workforce partnerships, and provide students avenues to refine critical thinking, workplace readiness and technical skills; essential to pursing a healthy life and career pathways. Create and coordinate work-based learning (WBL) career presentations and tours, field trips, job shadowing, paid and non-paid internships.

    Essential Functions

    • Develop post placement pathway for graduating students.
    • Drafting and implementing MOU’s and frequently visit local business partners.
    • Develop and implement staff shift schedules.
    • Develop student WBL I and WBL II shift schedules.
    • Develop and implement on and off campus WBL schedules.
    • Able to utilize assistive technologies.
    • Maintain and evaluate individual and collective WBL statistics and reporting documents.
    • Ensure the development, accuracy and completeness of incident reports.
    • Case Management.
    • Counsel and possibly instruct students on subjects related to life matters.
    • Visit and monitor work-based learning sites for quality and safety.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards related to WBL.
    • Assist with quarterly academy assemblies and graduation.
    • Work closely with Transition Academy Program Director, Residential Life and Student Activity Coordinator and Applied Academic Coordinator.
    • Ability to be flexible and complete tasks as unforeseen events arise.
    • Provide transportation when necessary.
    • Model, mentor, and motivate the value of appropriate and effective independent living standards and workforce success.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    A. Training of Work-Based Learning Staff

    • 1. Develop and implement initial training and document appropriately.
    • 2. Conduct regular meetings and document appropriately.
    • 3. Conduct initial quarterly coaching and commitments.
    • 4. Conduct annual performance evaluations and succession planning.

    B. Assisting with Development of Work-Based Learning Procedures and Rules

    • 1. Develop and implement data format to house student information.
    • 2. Collaborate with the leadership team and staff to develop standing operating procedures for WBL assignments, activities, reports, monitoring and enforcing rules.
    • 3. Design and disseminate shift schedules.

    C. Managing Work-Based Learning Activities

    • 1. Prepare professional portfolios
    • 2. Career, College and Special Fairs or workshops
    • 3. Manage and resolve situations involving conflict resolution and inappropriate behavior amongst students and or staff.

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in business, special education, education, sociology, behavior analysis, vocational rehabilitation, psychology, human or social services.

    · Two (2) or more years work experience in business or industrial applications (preferred).

    · Three (3) or more years of related experience with I/DD and Autism or teaching experience (preferred).

    · Operating knowledge and experience with Microsoft Suites.

    · Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.

    · Light to moderate lifting (required).

    · Highly developed organizational, time management, human relations and interpersonal communication and writing skills; self-motivated, flexible, and creative.

    · Experience in supervising personnel.

    · Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems.

    · Experience with planning, budgeting, creating, coordinating, and completing workforce activities and or projects and partnerships.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $42,000.00 per year
