New Policy Specialist jobs in Long Beach, CA
New Policy Specialist processes incoming applications for new and renewing policies to include changes/updates according to company guidelines for group health, dental and/or life policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Specialist serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. May handle more complex situations or issues. Additionally, New Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. They will provide communication with branch managers and inspectors regarding the state of transportation equipment. They will manage inspection policies and conduct audits for the status of inspection with other branches. Responsibilities
• Transportation equipment inspection: Trucks, trailers, container chassis, etc.
• Inspection Policy Management
• Communication with other branch inspectors.
• Auditing inspection status of other branches.
• Review equipment for compliance with FMSCA regulations.
• Keep up-to-date regarding changes or updates in FMSCA regulations.Minimum qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience
• Flexibility to travel for business trips
• Good communication skillsPreferred skills and qualifications
