New Policy Specialist processes incoming applications for new and renewing policies to include changes/updates according to company guidelines for group health, dental and/or life policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Specialist serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. May handle more complex situations or issues. Additionally, New Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Responsibilities:

    • Train new employees in agency policies and conduct effective training and orientation sessions
    • Train Caregivers in basic and caregiver skills as needed
    • Identify and assess future and current training needs
    • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
    • Mentor new caregivers to ensure onboarding is successful
    • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, development and best practices
    • Ensure that all Caregivers providing services meet the OAR qualification
    • Will be required to work as a Caregiver at times

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years caregiver experience with advanced skills or CNA certification
    • Teaching/training experience, preferred in basic caregiving skills
    • Computer proficiency in multiple software programs, Google Suites, Microsoft Office with Scheduling software a plus
    • Strong organizational skills including effective time management , attention to detail and handling multiple tasks while determining priorities
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work well on a team within a fast-paced environment
    • Certified CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers
    • Must have a valid drivers license and current auto insurance
    • CNA preferred
