New Policy Specialist processes incoming applications for new and renewing policies to include changes/updates according to company guidelines for group health, dental and/or life policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Specialist serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. May handle more complex situations or issues. Additionally, New Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Master’s degree in any field
10 years of combined Joint, SOF, or Interagency experience working joint military operations conducted in a joint, combined, and interagency environment
Graduate of a JPME course, Intermediate Development Course, a Senior Professional Military Education Course, or civilian equivalent
3 years of experience working with the DoD
5 years of experience in strategic or corporate-level planning and design
5 years of experience in corporate-level document drafting, editing, proofing and briefing
Current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
