We are currently seeking an R&D Project Support Representative (PSR) to work on our team as a high-level liaison with our R&D/Engineering Teams. This is a full-time, in office/in plant position based out of our Fort Myers, FL, Corporate HQ.

This role is the primary gatekeeper of the documentation for all revisions made to company products, ensuring traceability, accountability, and integrity. This position is tasked with documenting and communicating changes, updates, discontinuations, and/or any additions that our R&D/Engineering professionals make that affect our products.

Overview of why we need to fill the PSR role: When a change is needed to a product, a Change Notice must be created and distributed throughout the organization, clearly detailing exactly what change has occurred, and all of the collateral / who is affected from that change. The R&D/Engineering Team will provide the PSR with the applicable information. The PSR will consistently document the change(s), in detail, for the product records. The PSR will feed and funnel the information throughout the organization and verify that all applicable team members have received it. Follow up with team members will be needed to document action item status, and report said status to the project lead. Collaboration with Quality Department Team Members will be frequent. 

Qualifications/Requirements:  Candidates for this position must have technical and mechanical aptitude, and be a self-starting initiative taker, and have two to five (2 - 5) years of working in a similar role with DME companies, appliance manufacturers/dealers, automobile manufactures/service, other manufacturing / related industry. Proficiencies with using MS Office applications (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word). Experience with utilizing ERP systems is needed (Epicor, NetSuite, or similar). Candidates should be familiar with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and be able to collaborate with Quality Team to ensure compliance is met and maintained. AutoCAD familiarity is a bonus. Candidates should have some flexibility with working hours, as Merits is a global organization. Being very detailed oriented and organized with excellent trouble shooting skills to match are also needed to perform the duties of this role.

Being able to consistently and effectively present information and respond in a timely manner to high email/message volume, to questions or inquiries from other employees, managers, and/or suppliers is necessary to keep up in this fast-paced environment.

Must speak, read, and write fluent English with exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in English/Mandarin a very big bonus.  Candidates should be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
