PRIMARY ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION:
Project lead new model start up activity designed to meet both NAPM and customer SQCD requirements. Create and control new model process design and implementation.
REPORTS TO:
New Model Mgr
SUPERVISES:
N/A
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Meet customer requirements regarding new model start up activity.
2) Project Manage the engineering department and the other support groups in meeting the customer
new model expectations.
3) Develop cost analysis for capital investments.
4) Create and control capitol equipment budgets.
5) Develop new model product process designs.
6) Develop new model product process failure mode effect analysis documents.
7) Create and control project schedules for new model process design implementation regarding
molds, fixtures, equipment and training.
8) Provide technical support and project leadership to the customer durring new model start up activity.
9) Set up and control new model trial activity.
10) Complete new model trial results analysis and utilize the PDCA cycle in completing any problem
solving activities.
11) Utilize lean manufacturing concepts.
12) Create design changes for manufacturing ability.
13) Act as engineering laison between customer, as well as internal departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EXPERIENCE
1) Strong knowledge of assembly equipment and manufacturing operations
2) Knowledge of plastics tooling and materials
3) In-depth knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
4) Project Management experience
5) Knowlege of AutoCad
B. EDUCATION
1) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
REQUIREMENTS:
A. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1) Must be able to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.
2) Must be able to travel on short notice
3) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
4) Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
5) Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
6) Must be able assemble new model parts and work with hand tools

2) General knowledge of injection mold machines, diecast machines, robots, paint and
general assembly equipment.
