    Position Summary:

    The CalAIM Program Manager is part of a multi-disciplinary team that represents the agency, meetings, and program reviews. This position is responsible for providing support to the Director of Operations, CEO, oversight of program implementation, operational functions of the program, objectives (coordination), supervision and evaluation of staff. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead and oversee our Healthcare Transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and managing programs related to case management, managed care, policy development, and the NextGen database system. The position requires a deep understanding of healthcare policy, particularly in the context of Medicare, Medicaid, and the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) program.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION:

    · Required Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, public health, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

    · Proven experience as a Program Manager in healthcare transformation initiatives.

    · Strong background in case management, managed care, and policy development.

    · In-depth knowledge of the NextGen database system.

    · Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and California's CalAIM program.

    · Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to navigate complex healthcare regulatory environments.

    · Project management certification is a plus

    EXPERIENCE:

    • • Proficiency in medical billing and coding processes, including knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
    • Experience with Medi-Cal billing procedures and regulations.
    • Ability to accurately code healthcare services, submit claims, and resolve billing issues.
    • Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Experience in care coordination and management within a healthcare setting.
    • Knowledge of care management principles and best practices.
    • Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services to improve health outcomes.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
    • Experience in care coordination or case management, particularly within a Medicaid/Medi-Cal context.
    • Knowledge of care management principles and best practices, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
    • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, social workers, and community organizations, to support coordinated care for Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) may be beneficial.
    • Required Associates degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health or related field, bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

    SKILLS:

    • Understanding of Medicaid/Medi-Cal regulations, policies, and initiatives, including knowledge of CalAIM goals and objectives.
    • Ability to stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and adapt practices accordingly.
    • Knowledge of California Medicaid (Medi-Cal) and Managed Care programs
    • Provide strategic leadership in the planning, development, and execution of healthcare transformation programs.
    • Attention to detail is crucial, especially in billing and coding roles where accuracy is essential to ensure compliance and reimbursement.
    • Ability to maintain meticulous records and documentation.
    • Oversee the implementation of initiatives related to case management, managed care, and policy development.
    • Lead the development and writing of healthcare policies, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations.
    • Implement policies effectively, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance
    • Utilize expertise in the NextGen database system to optimize data management processes.
    • Lead efforts to enhance data quality, reporting, and analytics to support program objectives.
    • Stay abreast of changes in Medicare and Medicaid regulations and integrate relevant updates into program strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements for healthcare programs.
