    POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsibilities involve the oversight, managing, planning and coordination of all maintenance activities. This position will direct employees, provide hands-on management and supervision. You will provide maintenance leadership to ensure optimum operating efficiency for the plant facility and equipment. At times it may be necessary for the manager to be available during hours outside of his/her normal schedule. 

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    • Responsible for all equipment and facility maintenance activities as related to expenses, procurement, records, overseeing capital purchases, maintaining proper inventory of spare parts, and controlling numerous open purchase order accounts.
    • Ensure operational efficiency of electrical and mechanical systems through timely inspections to eliminate/minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
    • Lead and coordinate the actions required to close out safety issues arising from risk assessments and inspections.
    • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program through the utilization of key performance indicators and conduct routine machine maintenance.
    • Train, develop and supervise maintenance technicians to carry out plant and facilities maintenance as required.
    • Manage capital projects as assigned.
    • Provide technical skills in the selection of new equipment and modifications required for existing equipment.
    • Initiate and manage the implementation of cost savings in the facility and utilities.
    • Supervise and coordinate plant and equipment maintenance and repair. Ensure that all repairs and projects are done safe and timely.
    • Develop technical training and other maintenance practices that is consistent with the reduction of unplanned downtime.
    • Identify and solve leading downtime contributors.
    • Evaluate, manage, and contract regional maintenance contractors to gain economies of scale and ensure contractors are meeting the requirements of their contracts.
    • All other tasks as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Associate's degree in industrial maintenance
    • 5 Years of experience
    • Electrical and PLC knowledge

    • Creative problem solver
    • Strategic thinker and decision maker
    • Physical agility required for climbing ladders, stairways, and narrow walkways. Keen audio-visual perception.
