QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor degree and/or professional experience working with those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or any equivalent combination of education and experience along with proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other software programs. Experience with HMIS preferred, but will train. Must have a valid and clean driver’s license.
Competence: Strong organizational and communication (interpersonal, verbal and written) skills coupled with effective problem solving, decision making, multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and facilitate the development of clear, concise short and long term plans of action. Proven ability to develop, maintain and utilize a strong network of service providers throughout SE CT to support clients’ goals.
Experience: At least two years of experience in a related position and proficient in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other software programs. Experience with HMIS preferred, but will train.
Qualities: Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for transitioning those who are homeless to housing and self sufficiency. Person must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with agency staff and partners to achieve goals, to identify issues and seek resolution and to interact with clients in a compassionate, detached, calm, organized, respectful and professional manner. Person must be self assured and possess a working knowledge/interest in homelessness, workforce development/education, housing and housing programs, and mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse recovery.
