New Day Office is a thirty-seven-year-old commercial interiors firm, headquartered in Hampton Roads, with an inspiring culture where the staff is on mission together and the client is highly respected. We are seeking a full-time dynamic Project Coordinator to join our team for strategic workplace planning. This team member’s primary responsibility will be management of projects from order entry through punch list providing accurate and timely service to customers. Daily responsibilities will include order entry, order management, factory interface and close out of projects.

This team member must be a solutions-oriented professional that is self-motivated and well organized along with strong written and verbal communication, mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills. Efficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF writers is necessary. Candidate must have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects, develop and maintain regular updates, relate well with all levels of management, and not be easily discouraged by challenges.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Order entry to include reviewing for accuracy and completeness
• Purchasing utilizing appropriate buying techniques
• Reviewing and correcting manufacturer acknowledgements
• Communicating order timelines with customer and internal staff
• Tracking deliveries
• Coordinating logistics between internal and external resources
• Processing receiving paperwork and correcting issues such as missing or damaged product
• Creating work orders and project folders
• Punch list resolution and ordering
• Customer invoicing
• Order closeout

The ideal candidate should have the ability to think independently, take ownership for assignment results and details, and enjoy small company culture. Knowledge and/or understanding of office furniture is a plus. Candidate must be available for full-time hours, have a satisfactory driving record, and be able to pass pre-employment drug testing as well as background checks to maintain access to military bases and client sites.
