Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team. The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts management, including logistics, sourcing, procurement management, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have experience in the HVAC industry and possess strong skills in demand planning and equipment repair. This is a key role within our dealership, ensuring that our customers receive the right parts in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and availability
- Coordinate with suppliers to source and procure parts
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality products
- Oversee the logistics of parts delivery, ensuring timely and efficient distribution
- Collaborate with the service department to fulfill parts requests for equipment repair
- Utilize AS400 system for data entry and tracking of parts inventory
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Implement demand planning strategies to anticipate customer needs
- Train and supervise a team of parts associates
- Maintain a clean and organized parts warehouse
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parts management or related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
- Proficient in data entry and inventory management systems (AS400 experience preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor negotiations and customer interactions
- Ability to lead a team and provide guidance when necessary
